Skills Hub: Nursing Skills App
Skills Hub App is a comprehensive platform developed by Skyscape Medpresso Inc for nursing students to master their skills. It provides concise step-by-step instruction, instructional videos, and references to evidence-based articles for a deeper understanding. The app is optimized for distance learning, allowing students to upload videos of themselves performing skills for feedback and sign-off by faculty.
One of the standout features of Skills Hub is its preparation for the NCLEX exam. Each skill comes with five NCLEX-style questions in alternative formats such as reorder, select all that apply, true/false, fill-in-the-blank, and multiple choice. The questions provide the correct answer, rationale, and can be attempted multiple times.
For self-reflection, peer review, or faculty review, students can upload videos of themselves performing skills to the cloud server. This service is completely free for Skyscape account holders.
In addition, Skills Hub allows students to track the skills they have practiced in the lab or clinic and build a portfolio.
